Community Guidelines

Cascade is built on trust. These guidelines ensure our marketplace remains a friendly, professional, and safe space for every student.

1What is Not Allowed

To keep our community safe and legal, the following items are strictly prohibited on Cascade:

Illegal drugs or substances
Weapons, firearms, or explosives
Stolen property
Counterfeit goods
Academic dishonesty services
Hate speech or offensive imagery

2Behavior and Conduct

Be Honest

No Catfishing

Photos must represent the actual item, not a stock photo. If it has scratches, show them.

Price Fairly

Don’t bait-and-switch. The price listed on the app should be the price you actually expect to receive.

Communication

Don't Ghost

If you agree to meet a buyer, show up. If you change your mind, send a text.

No Harassment

Zero tolerance for hate speech or creepy behavior. This is a marketplace, not a dating app.

3Campus Safety & Meetups

Meet in Public Spaces. Always meet in high-traffic, well-lit areas like the University Center or Library. Avoid dorm rooms or off-campus private residences.

Trust your instincts. If a meetup feels unsafe or the other person is acting aggressively, leave immediately.

4Zero Tolerance Policy

Cascade reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately for the following violations:

Falsifying student verification status
Attempting to sell stolen goods
Threatening another student's safety
Scamming or defrauding others

Report a Violation

If you see something that breaks these rules, please report it immediately so we can keep the community safe.
